Benefits of getting enough sleep according to health.gov:

• Get sick less often
• Stay at a healthy weight
• Lower your risk for serious health problems, like diabetes and heart disease
• Reduce stress and improve your mood
• Think more clearly and do better in school and at work
• Get along better with people
• Make good decisions and avoid injuries — for example, drowsy drivers cause thousands of car accidents every year

If you're having trouble sleeping, try those steps before you go to bed:

  1. Stop scrolling on your phone and avoid TV 2 hours before you go to bed – those types of stimulation won’t help you to relax;
  2. Stick to a sleep schedule. Keep your bedtime and wake time consistent from day to day, including on weekends;
  3. Stay active during the day;
  4. Avoid excess of caffeine, alcohol, and nicotine.
  5. Have some white noise in the background to help you to relax and fell asleep. – below there’s a video to help you!

Did you complete your hours of sleep? Congrats! Now you can mark your task done!
